Date: October 5-7, 2024 | North Saint Louis Neighborhood Council is thrilled to invite you to a special event series honoring the legacy and impact of Percy Green, a true champion for civil rights and social justice in our community. Over the course of three days, we’ll be celebrating his achievements and continuing his work towards equality and justice.
 
This event is open to all. Let’s come together to honor Percy Green’s incredible contributions and inspire future generations.

Experience the untold story of the 1933 Funsten Nutpickers Strike in St. Louis. Black women, facing low wages, unsafe conditions, and Jim Crow segregation, organized over 2,000 workers across five factories. With a brick in one hand and a bible in the other, their bold act of solidarity positioned St. Louis at the intersection of workers’ and civil rights.
