Target: St. Louis Vol.1 Documentary Screening and Discussion – July 11, 2024
Target: St. Louis Vol. 1 delves into the covert experimental testing carried out by the US government during the Cold War. This 2021 documentary recounts the Aerosol Spray Study, which tested known harmful chemicals in the Pruitt-Igoe housing community and other predominantly Black neighborhoods in north St. Louis, shedding light on the lasting impact of these actions. Join us to view the film and stay for a conversation with director Damien D. Smith and former Pruitt-Igoe resident Ben Phillips.
