In response to Jamala Rogers’ column, “FOP fosters ‘us vs. them’ mentality,” I agree that the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) lobbied for the passage and signing of the “Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu National Blue Alert Act of 2015” and that the FOP is the world’s largest organization of law enforcement officers. Unfortunately, that is where our agreement ends relative to her article.

Operation Epic Fury was launched to display the U.S. military might in the Middle East. What was promised as a quick attack on Iran has dragged on for over eight weeks and cost billions. The “excursion” has resulted in a global disaster with no end in sight.
Op Epic Fury is another ill-planned military invasion with no plan for entering and exiting Iran. The American people were not informed, Congress was bypassed for approval to go to war, and allies were not consulted. The war is reported to be costing $2 billion a day, with a pending request for another $200 billion.
