The Alabama Solution Film Screening & Community Discussion – October 17, 2025

Join Missouri Justice Coalition (Mojustice.org) on Friday, October 17th, 6:30pm to screen “The Alabama Solution”, the film that has been described by the LA Times as “one of the most shocking, visceral depictions of our carceral state ever put to film.” Indiewire called it “a jaw-dropping prison exposé,” while Variety noted its story “exerts a grip worthy of a thriller.” At Sundance this year, the film played to standing ovations

Missouri Justice Coalition is working to build a statewide prison advocacy movement by empowering impacted community members, amplifying the need for reforms & centering those most impacted by the carceral system in Missouri. We will come together to watch the film and discuss how we can apply the lessons from Alabama to our work in Missouri.
